Fall is finally here! Thank you to all of our Eastbluff families who donated to the To The Top Campaign. We can't thank you enough for supporting our school and our kids! Above are some of our students enjoying their To The Top reward celebrations. Now it's time to cool down and have some fall fun with these events in October. It should be a spooktacular month!

National PTA Reflections Art Program

Attention Student Artists! The National PTA Reflections Art Program is now accepting submissions. This year's theme is I Am Hopeful Because... and we want students to show their creativity through: Visual Arts, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Photography, or Music Composition. Students will be judged for their interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic technique. All entrants will get to celebrate with an ice cream party for all their hard work! Winners in each category will be announced on Friday, Oct. 20th and will receive certificates and advance to the Harbor Council judging for the district, and then possibly state and national levels. Winning artwork will be on display at the Newport Beach Main Library in November. Please submit your entry and entry form by October 13th, 2023 to the Eastbluff front office - early submissions are encouraged!

For more information, click https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/14clYDGfXT9EoSfissGoNW0In2Q-4jN1zEs-46RdCDW0/edit?usp=sharing

Flyers will be available at the front office and entry forms can be found here: https://www.pta.org/docs/default-source/files/programs/reflections/reflections-2020-2021/fillable-form_local-leader.pdf

Fall Book Fair Oct. 23 - 27

Our Fall Book Fair is coming to the Eastbluff Library Oct. 23rd-27th! Make it easy for your kids(and volunteers!) and go cashless by signing up for eWallet! It's safe and secure and relatives can also easily add money to help students build home libraries and encourage reading! Visit our online book fair site at https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/eastbluffelemschool to sign up for eWallet and more information.

Since the Book Fair is happening during conference week, we will be open for parents to come in and shop with their student after school from 1:40pm-2:30pm. We will also be open for students during their class library times and Lunch recess. We will be closed on Wednesday as it is a non-student day.

Parents! We'd love for you to come volunteer at our book fair! A signup genius will be sent out shortly. We'll list the days/times of class library times so feel free to signup when your student will visit the book fair with their class! Volunteers must be cleared through the district raptor system.

We'll be continuing the tradition at school with the bookmark contest! One winner from each grade level will receive a $15 gift certificate to spend at the book fair! Bookmark designs are due on Wednesday Oct. 18th and winners will be announced at the Otter Rally on Friday Oct. 20th. Students can stop by the library and get a Bookmark form from Ms. Nichols or click here for a digital copy.

Sign Up To Be Involved with Eastbluff's Learning Garden

Last year the PTA worked hard to revive and beautify the learning garden. We need volunteers to help maintain the garden and make sure it continues to be a space where students can learn and grow. See QR code for sign up.
